Music Biography
Johnny Bremer
I was born in Longview, TX, in 1993. My parents are Garrett Bremer, of Metropolis, Illinois , and Mayra Bremer, of Barranquitas, Puerto Rico . I've has always been homeschooled.
Piano:
I began taking piano when I was six years old. I stopped piano lessons at 16. During that time I have learned some major classical pieces.
Classical Guitar:
I began Classical Guitar at the age of 13. I continue to take private lessons from Oscar Valdez. I have also taken some private lessons with the following renowned Classical guitarists: Issac Bustos, Daniel Lippel, Richard Todd, Andrew Zohn, Elliot Frank, Marko Feri, Jeffrey McFadden, Lorenzo Micheli and Matteo Mela. I have also taken a master class with Jason Vieaux.
Acoustic Guitar and Family Band:
I began Acoustic/Flatpicking Guitar at the age of 12. I took Lessons for a year, then learned by myself from there. Our family joined the Cowtown Opry in 2006. There we were exposed to Texas Western and Cowboy music. From there we started a family band. I the band I take part as the lead guitar, singer and band leader. We have performed in nursing homes, the Texas State Fair, Campfire Tales at the Fort Worth Stock Show and other activities organized by the Cowtown Opry. We have also participated in the Gene Autry Fundraiser in Gene Autry, Oklahoma. I was 6 th place as a accompanist in a fiddle competition at Wichita Falls TX.
Music Lessons:
I started Selective Music Academy in January 2010.
